What’s in a name? FOX NEWS title The first ‘Star Wars’ movie poster is a stunning tribute to the galaxy’s greats

NEW YORK — For the first time in decades, a “Star Wars” movie poster featuring iconic characters and scenes from the saga has been unveiled by Lucasfilm, marking the first new “Star War” movie artwork to hit the Internet since 1999.

The new art, unveiled Thursday by Disney’s creative agency, is one of a dozen new pieces of “StarWars” artwork that will be posted online by Disney after the “Star Trek” film series, which hits theaters Aug. 25, is released on Blu-ray and DVD.

The artwork, which includes characters from “Star” and “Starcraft,” is a celebration of the history of “The Force Awakens,” the fifth installment of the “Return of the Jedi” trilogy.

The “Force Awakens” movie, which is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac, is expected to gross more than $200 million worldwide.
